About the Role

Gap Inc’s Strategic Growth Office (“SGO”) is at the forefront of driving our next chapter of growth. Gap Inc. established the SGO to focus on long-term growth and new growth opportunities across its purpose-led billion-dollar brands and beyond its core businesses. In this role you'll support critical projects to advance our priorities, growth, and long-range plans. This can include evaluating market opportunities, helping to establish and stand-up operations, and preparing go-to-market strategies. As part of the SGO Strategy & Operations team, you will work across our growth start-up businesses. Your goal is to drive value creation through deep partnership with leaders and stakeholders across the company.

What You'll Do
  • Work with growth business partners to understand key opportunities, from opportunity identification to strategic implementation
  • Serve as a strategic and analytic partner to leaders of new business efforts as they develop and scale go-to-market efforts
  • Support cross-functional business partners with analytical insights and problem solving
  • Own work planning, hypotheses generation, issue identification, and analytical framework development
  • Activities include:
    • Identifying key issues, structuring problems, developing, and delivering on workplans that drive value creation across Gap Inc. brands
    • Performing quantitative and qualitative analyses, including analyzing data, creating financial models, and conducting market and competitive research
    • Synthesizing findings, developing a storyline and the supporting materials to communicate recommendations to Senior Management and Leadership Team
Who You Are
  • Professional work experience, preferably with experience in apparel, retail, management consulting, or operations at a start up
  • Demonstrated track record as an outstanding problem-solver and strategic thinker with the ability to quickly identify key issues and develop hypotheses
  • Able to translate complex ideas and dispersed information into simple, actionable recommendations
  • Desire to learn, including curiosity to research market opportunities, emerging technology, and trends and apply learnings to drive organizational growth
  • Strong analytical skills, with ability to collect, organize and analyze large / complex data sets efficiently and effectively
  • Able to work in the details and click-up a level to grasp the “big picture”
  • Strong ability and willingness to collaborate effectively – a true team player
  • Strong written and oral communicator

Salary Range: $56,500 - $79,300 USD
Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.
